Past is Past
For those unaware, a common factor between the two ladies had been Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika Padukone in an interview with a leading magazine spoke about Katrina Kaif attending her wedding reception in Mumbai. She said: "A lot of water has flown under the bridge. For me, just the fact that she came and was very present was gracious (of her). I've always been fond of her. You know, just the way that she's been over the years, and with her work and I have a lot of respect for that. I made my peace with her," she said.
Katrina Kaif too opened up about the same and said: "I did dance the night away. I was one of the last people to leave, I must confess that. I think I also ate at least half of their chocolate fountain. It was a lovely reception and everyone had a really nice time. They both looked absolutely lovely."
On the Professional front
Katrina has been roped in as the leading lady opposite Akshay Kumar in the next film in Rohit's cop franchise. "It is lovely to be working with Akshay. I have known him for a long time. Rohit is very clear about what he wants from this film. There is a science behind this film and it is meticulously and thoughtfully done," Katrina told PTI. In "Sooryavanshi", Rohit has planned special appearance of his two other popular cop characters - "Singham" (Ajay Devgn) and "Simmba" (Ranveer Singh). Rohit also recently shared his desire to make a female cop film and Katrina said she is looking forward to the tentative project.
