Sooryavanshi's cop name revealed: Katrina Kaif shares a sneak peek

Katrina Kaif has left the fans pleasantly surprised by sharing yet another sneak peek of her upcoming movie Sooryavanshi. The movie is from the police universe of Rohit Shetty, and it seems to be as action-packed as the rest of them. The police universe began in 2011 with Ajay Devgn playing the role of Bajirao Singham in the movie Singham. The sequel, Singham Returns in 2014, was followed by Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba last year. Akshay Kumar has confirmed that the fourth movie of the universe is going to have a lot of action sequences.

Katrina Kaif took to her Instagram account to share a picture of the uniform of Veer Sooryavanshi. While Katrina wrote a simple caption that informed the netizens that she was shooting on the set of Sooryavanshi, the post garnered huge attention from the fans. Many said that they were excited and eagerly waiting for the movie. The Bharat actor had previously shared behind-the-scenes pictures with co-star Akshay Kumar as well as with director Rohit Shetty. She also released a sneak peek video of the making of the movie, that captured Akshay Kumar performing some intriguing stunts.

While not much has been revealed about the plot of the movie, Sooryavanshi was announced at the end of the movie Simmba. It is known that Akshay Kumar plays the role of an anti-terror squad officer named Veer Sooryavanshi. It is also reported that both Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn will make an appearance in the movie, just as Ajay Devgn had made an appearance in Simmba. It has been alleged that Ranveer Singh has already flown to Hyderabad to shoot for his part of the movie.

Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar will share the screen space in Sooryavanshi after almost a decade. Apart from the two, the movie also stars Gulshan Grover and Anupam Kher among others. Sooryavanshi is produced by Rohit Shetty’s Shetty Picturez and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, in association with Reliance Entertainment as well as Cape of Good films. It is slated to release on March 27, 2020.
