The game show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan has showcased some inspiring tales of extraordinary people this season. One such tale of a woman with a mission is social activist Sunitha Krishnan. The Padma Shri awardee Sunitha Krishnan, through her social work, aims to remind the society, that women are more than just their body.
In an engaging chat at an international summit, the activist revealed what motivates her to work towards women welfare. Sunitha Krishnan revealed a traumatic incident from the past has led her to help women who are forced into the flesh trade without their will. Sunitha Krishnan, who was sexually assaulted by eight men at the age of 15, recovered from the trauma of her assault. The activist shared, she might have recovered from the trauma, but the shame and ridicule of the society still linger in her mind. This anger against the conventions of the society, helped her set up her NGO called Prajwala, an organization that works on the rescuing women from the sex trade and trafficking and helps them build a new life.
The latest edition of the game show is doing well on the TRP charts, according to BARC Reports. The show is on the 6th number of the TRP charts and is one of the most-watched show on the small screen. The show is garnering attention from the audience for its format, and the inspiring tales of the common man. So far, three contestants have managed to win the ₹ 1 crore prize. And in the days to come, audiences are looking forward to more Crorepatis from this season.
