A case has been filed in the local court of Uttar Pradesh against Sushant Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Kedarnath'.

A case has been filed in the local court of Uttar Pradesh against Sushant Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Kedarnath'. In the petition that has been filed before the court of additional chief judicial magistrate Dhananjay Mishra, the petitioner named Siddhartha Singh has named the main lead as Sushant Singh, Abhishek Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan.
The film is essentially a love story between a Hindu tourist porter named Mansoor and a Hindu Pandit's daughter, Mukku. However, the film also depicts the disastrous floods that took place in Uttar Pradesh back in 2013. Siddhartha Singh, the petitioner who is also a lawyer by profession is being represented Ravindra Vikram Singh and Himanshu Srivastava in the case who have pleaded before the court that a love story has been shown in the film at the time of the natural calamity of 2013 which killed thousands.

Reportedly, the petitioner has objected to the film because of its passionate love scenes, alleged promotion of love jihad, and obscene dance sequences in the background of a major disaster, scars of which are still quite fresh in the minds of the victims' families.
The court has fixed January 17, 2019, as the next date of hearing.
Previously, reports suggested that the PIL filed against the film Kedarnath for allegedly hurting religious sentiments has been dismissed by Bombay High Court.
'Kedarnath' hit the box office on December 7 and has been garnering quite a few praises for the young actress Sara Ali Khan. Till now, the film has seen a steady growth at the box office and has minted a total of 32 crores in the domestic market.
