Bollywood actress Kiara Advani is celebrating her birthday on Wednesday, July 31. As the actress turned  27 years old, Shahid Kapoor took to social media to wish his 'Kabir Singh' co-star. The actor shared a hilarious boomerang on his Instagram story where he and Kiara can be seen enjoying some fun time in the snow. The BTS clip shows them making faces and funny moves. Shahid captioned it saying 'happy birthday'.

Meanwhile, despite divided reviews, Shahid and Kiara's 'Kabir Singh' continues to rule the box office. It has collected over Rs. 275 crores within 5th week of its release and is expected to soon cross the Rs. 300 crore mark. Not just in India, but the film seems to have won the hearts of the audience in Australia as well, as it emerged as the first Indian film to cross the A$ 1 million mark in the country in 2019.

'Kabir Singh' has hit the theaters on Friday, June 21, and has recorded mixed responses from the viewers. The film has been dragged into controversy post its release as several critics and social media personals have described the film as 'misogynistic' celebrating toxic masculinity.

The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy' which is helmed by the same director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It narrates the story of an alcoholic surgeon named Kabir Singh, who has anger management issues. He goes on a self-destructive path after being separated from his ex-lover. It is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.
