Knives Out directed and produced by Rian Johnson paid a tribute to celebrated mystery novelist Agatha Christie through this film. The trailer of Knives Out was released on July 2. Since then the film has been creating a lot of buzz for its ensemble cast and its dramatic plot. The plot of Knives Out revolves around the murder of a crime novelist Harlan Thrombey on his 85th birthday. Harlan attempts to connect his broken dysfunctional family by the means of his birthday celebrations.
The trailer of Knives Out starts with Daniel Craig and his team interrogating members of the family regarding Harlan Thrombey’s murder. Daniel Craig plays the role of Detective Benoit Blanc who is called upon for investigating the murder. Along with the intense music right from the start of the first frame we get a sense of dramatization. Chris Evans and Jamie Lee Curtis are also present right in the first few frames of the trailer.
The dysfunctional family is told to stay in the house till the investigation is completed. This leads to some more friction and blame game in the already dysfunctional bunch. The viewers also get a glimpse of Chris Evans character whose smug attitude is visible while troubling his family during their stay in the crime novelist’ mansion. The Knives Out trailer progression also leads to an increase in the pace of the screenplay. The music gets intense and the elements of the murder mystery are further explored.
