Ujda Chaman has been doing pretty well at the box office and the critics have lauded the film with good reviews as well. The film revolves around a man under 30 years of age suffering from premature balding. The film has a very similar concept to the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Bala but still saw a good box office performance in the first week itself. The films stars Sunny Singh and Maanvi Gagroo in lead roles.
Maanvi Gagroo’s latest interview
In her latest interview with an entertainment portal, Maanvi Gagroo opened up about the harsh realities of the entertainment industry. She said that one time, as part of an audition, she had to do an attempted rape scene. She also said that she had to do the same in a “sleazy office” in the presence of two men and no women.
Maanvi also revealed that the office was a small room that also had a bed. She recalls fleeing the audition, fearing for her safety. The makers still tried to convince her, but it failed.
While looking back at 2019, Maanvi Gagroo said that she is in a happy space right now. She also said that she has been the most productive this year. She was super busy with back to back shoot of her projects: Tripling, Four More Shots Please, Ujda Chaman, and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan.
Maanvi also thanked her projects since they have given her the time to travel and also kept her busy. She has been to places where she never imagined she would visit. Maanvi said that this has also given her the time to rejuvenate and refresh between work as well.
Maanvi Gagroo is playing the female lead in the Sunny Singh-starrer Ujda Chaman. She plays the role of a plus-size woman who falls in love with a bald man. The film showcases the unachievable beauty standards set by society for people.
