MAMI 2019: Here are the winners of the Film Festival for this year
MAMI 2019 is being held in Mumbai. The film festival went on for a week and had an interesting movies this year. Here is a list of winners of MAMI 2019.

MAMI is one of the most well-known Indian film festivals that showcases the best Indian cinema and movies from all around the world. The Jio MAMI 21st film festival started from October 17, 2019, and ended on October 24, 2019. The Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival began with a red carpet event. The opening ceremony was held at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir (Sheila Gopal Raheja Auditorium), Bandra West, Mumbai.
At MAMI 2019, over 190 films were screened, which include 50 debuts, 13 world premieres, covering over 53 countries and 49 different languages. On October 24, 2019, the closing ceremony of the event was held. Winners of the MAMI film festival were felicitated with a trophy. Deepika Padukone, the Chairperson of MAMI, shared her experience in an interview, saying that, it was difficult for her to manage everything as she was involved with MAMI. But she feels fortunate to watch at least one film out of 190 movies. She also mentioned that people and actors were truly passionate about the cinema and the festival was overall impeccably organised.

Imitiaz Ali, the director of movies like Tamasha, Rockstar and Highway, was the judge for Short Films category at MAMI 2019. He also shared his experience of judging, saying that it is difficult to make a short film as you have time constraints. But he appreciated everyone who was a part of these short films for their stellar work. He even mentioned that short films are easy to showcase your talents, thoughts and put in new ideas, which is otherwise not possible in long feature movies.
