Mardaani 2: Security doubled on the sets of the Rani Mukerji-starrer

It has been five years since the release of Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the movie deals with the horrors of human trafficking and child trafficking. After the announcement of the sequel in 2018, Rani Mukerji has started shooting for the film. According to the reports, the security on the sets of Mardaani 2, has been doubled. Makers do not want anything to leak
The makers of Mardaani 2 said that they do not want anything to leak from the sets of the film. They added that the film also includes some elements of surprise, which they do not want to give away to the audience before the film releases. The makers also mentioned the instance of footage leaking from the sets of 2018 action film Thugs of Hindostan and said that they do not want the same to happen with them.
About 'Mardaani 2'
The sequel to the 2014 movie Mardaani 2 sees the return of Rani Mukerji to the cop universe. Essaying the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, Rani Mukerji goes up against a villain in the movie. The movie cast includes Jishu Sengupta and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. For the second time, the film deals with a serial killer who rapes and murders young women. Mardaani 2, is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
It was on the 2nd birthday of Rani Mukerji’s daughter Adira, that she announced Mardaani 2. Rani Mukerji, on a Twitter post by Yash Raj Films, said that the Mardaani franchise has been close to her heart since the first movie. She said that since the release of Mardaani in 2014 that people have been asking her about when would she start working on Mardaani 2. Written and directed by Gopi Purthan, Mardaani 2 is set to release on December 13, 2019.
