Athiya Shetty is gearing up for only her third film, in over four years and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that she has been choosy with her scripts till now. After shooting to the limelight with Hero in 2015, her debut that didn’t live up to expectations, the actor had tasted success with Mubarakan in 2017. The actor’s film Motichoor Chaknachoor is gearing up for release at the moment, but this perhaps wouldn’t have been her third film, and her next would have been much later. Athiya revealed that she turned down the movie not once, but twice, before signing on the dotted lines. The reason involved her co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, not because she had any problem in sharing screen space with him. She was just nervous to act opposite the Sacred Games star.
In a recent interview with a magazine, Athiya shared that she was extremely nervous to be paired opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Motichoor Chaknachoor. She revealed that she even turned down the movie twice for the same reason. The Mubarakan star added that she just could not think of how she would look opposite Nawazuddin in the movie. However, now she feels extremely happy to be sharing screen space with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star.
The trailer of Motichoor Chaknachoor had gone viral on its release. The story is about the marriage between two interesting characters. Nawazuddin’s character wants to get married anyhow since he is 36, while Athiya’s character wants to marry only an NRI. She befriends him when she hears that he had a job in Dubai. The two get married, but there is an interesting turn of events when she comes to know that he had lost his job.
Motichoor Chaknachoor
