Nawazuddin Siddiqui was once a chemist, then a stage actor, and is now a Bollywood superstar. His roles range from small short films to a lead role in Gangs of Wasseypur 2. He reportedly had to go through a lot of difficulties to get into Bollywood. But his struggle paid off, as today he is the man who broke all the stereotypes of a Bollywood hero. In his time as an actor, he has done many negative roles, but his role as a don has been exceptional. Here are a few of his roles as a don in the Hindi film industry.
Sacred Games
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the character of Ganesh Gaitonde, a don from Mumbai’s fictional area known as Gopalmath. This character is from his Netflix show Sacred Games. The character became an instant hit among fans. The series is based on a book written by Vikram Chandra, which was published in the year 2006. In this series, we see Ganesh first rule Mumbai, and from there, he goes on to become a don in Kenya. His most remarkable dialogue as a don in this series is “Kabhi Kabhi toh lagta hai apun-ich Bhagwan hain.”
Munna Michael
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the character of Mahendra Fauji, a don from Delhi who wants to impress a dancer. In this movie, we can see him get training from Tiger Shroff’s character, Munna Michael, to impress Dolly, played by Nidhhi Agerwal. As a don, Nawazuddin wants the dancer at any cost for which he learns dancing, but he is later ditched by Munna who runs away with Dolly. The story revolves around how Mahendra has to choose between Munna, who he considerers his brother, and Dolly, whom he loves.

Gangs of Wasseypur- Part 2
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the role of Faizal Khan, the son of Sardar Khan. He rose to power after his father and brother died in the movie. He becomes the kingpin of Wasseypur by killing his enemies and making money. He is doing all of this to avenge his father's and brother’s death. One of the most remarkable dialogues from this movie is “Baap ka, dada ka, Bhai ka, Sabka badla lega re tera, Faijal...”.
