He believes the Indian audience is still not ready for movies that narrate real-life stories. They still prefer watching the masala potboilers over real-life stories.

Other than Mootichoor Chacknachoor, Nawaz will also feature in Tannishtha Chatterjee's directorial debut. The movie, titled Roam Rome Mein, is a family drama starring Nawaz in the lead. The movie was screened at the Jio MAMI Film Festival, that recently concluded in Mumbai.
