OMG 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar film shows growth despite Gadar 2 storm
OMG 2 collected Rs 15.30 crore on its second day and is inching towards Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office over its first weekend.
OMG 2 and Gadar 2 were released together on August 11. Both films have managed to find their audience and have seen a good initial response at the box office. While Gadar 2 may be the mass entertainer India had asked for, OMG 2 is a great neutraliser with the sensitive topic of sex education it talks about.

Oh My God 2 shows good growth
Initially, it was noted that OMG 2 will open in Rs 7-9 crore nett range and will feel the heat from its competitor Gadar 2. Even though OMG 2 reached Rs 10.26 crore on its opening day against Gadar 2’s Rs 40+ crore opening, it has managed to show good growth on its second day.

As per the makers of the film, OMG 2 grossed Rs 15.30 crore on Saturday, bringing its total haul to Rs 25.56 crore in two days. As far as the growth of the film is concerned, OMG 2 has a brand, nostalgia, critical reception and good word of mouth to back it up. At the same time, Gadar 2 has already emerged as a huge commercial success and has grossed more than Rs 80 crore in India in two days.
OMG 2 features intense courtroom scenes between Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam
Akshay Kumar stars as Lord Shiva's messenger in OMG 2. His role is limited to a cameo appearance. Pankaj Tripathi stars as Kanti Sharan Mudgal who drags his son's school to court after an incident. The courtroom scenes between Yami Gautam as Kamini and Pankaj as Kanti are the highlight of the film and evoke both contemplation and laughter.
