Much like the first film, the sequel also seemingly explores the relationship of devotees with the almighty. The trailer carries references to Hindu mythology. In between subtle comic punches, Pankaj Tripathi's nuanced acting and an intense courtroom drama. Yami Gautam essays the role of a stern lawyer who is up against Tripathi.

OMG 2’s tussle with CBFC

The Akshay Kumar starrer ran into trouble when the Central Board of Film Certification raised concerns about some of the scenes in the film. However, on August 1, the board cleared the film was released and granted it an ‘A’ certificate, deeming it fit for viewing by an 18 + audience. It was reported that the board demanded several cuts in order to release the film with a U/A certificate, but the makers did not want to compromise on quilty and so settled with an adult certificate.
