Sridevi passed away at the age of 52 in February this year and her death was termed due to 'accidental drowning' in her hotel bathtub in Dubai. Her daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her debut with 'Dhadak' this year, which was a success at the box office. The actress was quite active on social media and often took to Instagram to share her day to day activities. She was also one of the most celebrated artists in the film fraternity of all times.

Recently, a prayer ceremony was held in Chennai in memory of the departed soul. Apart from the late actress’ husband, film producer Boney Kapoor and brother-in-law and former co-star, Anil Kapoor, Kollywood superstar Ajith was among the attendees. The puja, ahead of Sridevi’s first death anniversary, was reportedly organized at the ‘Chandni’ star’s maternal house in the city.
