Pagalpanti director Anees Bazmee talks about a potential sequel

Anees Bazmee is all set with his upcoming flick Pagalpanti. In an interview with a news portal, Anees recently spoke about his excitement on working with the cast. Pagalpanti is a romantic drama which revolves around the group of tourists from India who set out on a vacation only to have the trip turn into a patriotic mission. The movie stars John Abraham, Kirti Kharbanda, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, and Ileana D’Cruz. A sequel reportedly is also in planning.

Anees Bazmee talks about Pagalpanti

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Anees Bazmee said that he is grateful to work with all these actors. He also said that he has worked with Anil Kapoor on several occasions. This is going to be their eleventh film together. The director has also worked with John Abraham in Welcome Back in 2015. Anees told him that he would recruit John for a full-fledged comic role. When he approached him for the role, John said that he was stoked for this film.

Pagalpanti is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2019. The comedy-drama is expected to break the box-office record of several other successful comedy movies. The movie is shot in several locations including London. When asked regarding the memories of the shoot, Anees said that he got a call on a landline in his hotel room to rendezvous at the hotel restaurant. He was then shocked as he saw all the crew members including Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat and Ileana D’Cruz, welcoming him. He was then surprised when he was asked by all of them about the sequel.

All the members of the team reportedly had a lot of fun during the shoot. This movie will be marked as Anees’s grand project of 2019. The movie is scheduled to release in December 2019. Although Anees has a lot on his plate at the moment, he has hinted towards the development of the sequel. The director is presently also busy with another movie which is Bhool Bhulaiya 2.
