Panga to clash with Street Dancer 3D: It's Kangana Ranaut vs Varun
Panga is now set to release in January of 2020. But it will share the same release date as Street Dancer 3D. The two movies will now compete on Republic Day.
The release date for Kangana Ranaut's next upcoming film, Panga, was finally revealed today on November 11, 2019. Panga is now set to release on January 24, 2020, and will feature Kangana Ranaut in the lead role as a female kabaddi player and will deal with the struggles and hurdles that she has to overcome. However, it seems that Panga will be faced with strong competition on its scheduled release date as it is set to release on the same day as the Varun Dhawan starrer Street Dancer 3D.
Panga vs Street Dancer 3D
The release date of Panga was announced by its director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari whose previous work includes the highly acclaimed 2017 film Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga will be the Ashwiny's fourth directorial work since her debut as a director in 2016 with Nil Battey Sannata. Here was the announcement that she made on her social media.
However, with the January 24, 2020 release date, Panga is going to be in direct competition with Street Dancer 3D. The Varun Dhawan starrer was initially set to release on November 8, 2019. But the date was pushed back by the film's creators to avoid competition with Pagalpanti as well as to benefit out of the Republic Day weekend. Now, with Panga also set to release on the same date, it seems that Street Dancer 3D can no longer avoid the competition.
Alongside Varun, Street Dancer 3D will also feature Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. The movie will be a dance-musical film in the same vein as ABCD: Anybody Can Dance and will tell the story of a group of street dancers. With both Panga and Street Dancer 3D set to release on the same day, now it is up to audiences and critics to decide on which movie will come out on top and win at the box office.
