Arjun Kapoor's newest historical film Panipat: The Great Betrayal has evidently had a lot of hype surrounding it ever since it was announced. The film will feature Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau, the commander-in-chief at the third battle of Panipat. The film will also feature Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt alongside Arjun in pivotal roles and after much anticipation, the film's trailer has been unveiled.
From the looks of it, the war epic is set in 1761, wherein the Maratha Empire had reached its zenith and their grip in Hindustan reigned supreme, however, there is one invader who has his eyes on the throne, and that is when Arjun Kapoor, who is playing the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau leads a northern expedition in order to repel the invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali, ( Sanjay Dutt) who is playing the role of the King of Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Kriti can be seen looking promising as Arjun Kapoor's wife in the film.

And while the trailer is quite grand and majestic, there were many fans and netizens who felt that the scenes were quite repetitive from Ranveer Singh's film Bajirao Mastani, there were also many others who felt that the actor could have delivered better, and overall it lacks a punch. Read some reactions below-
First look:
Playing the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, Arjun Kapoor in his first look can be seen donning the traditional Maratha attire. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon looks quite majestic as Parvati Bai. She can be seen dressed with an authentic nath worn by the Peshwa family. For the uninitiated, she was the second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau that will be played by Arjun Kapoor in the film. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand can be seen looking quite fierce, intense and ready to battle!
Ashutosh Gowariker has a list of commendable movies under his cap, especially in the historical genre. His upcoming directorial is a high-octane drama film titled Panipat and is considered to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Panipat chronicles the righteous and historical story of the Third Battle of Panipat that took place in 1761.
