The makers of Panipat released the trailer of the movie on November 5. The film focuses on the character of Sadashivrao Bhau, played by Arjun Kapoor. He is seen in the midst of all the bloodshed, fighting vigorously with his enemies. The scene changes later and we get to see the character of Nana Saheb, played by Mohnish Bahl, and Parvati Bai, played by Kirti Sanon. The trailer depicts the romance between the characters of Arjun Kapoor and Kirti Sanon. The third act of the trailer reveals the rugged and royal look of Sunjay Dutt. He is seen playing the character of Ahmad Shah Abdali. The trailer of Panipat received a lot of positive response within hours of its release. Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh's friendship is no secret to Bollywood fans. The two actors have a great bond that has matured throughout the years. They were seen together in the movie Gunday in the year 2014 and have been great friends since then. Ranveer Singh has played the role of a Peshwa in Bajirao Mastani and now it is Arjun Kapoor's turn to play the role of Peshwa. Singh was very supportive of Kapoor as he was seen praising Panipat. During an Instagram live session today, Singh said, "It is fire. Its banging trailer.”

The third battle of Panipat took place in the year 1761 at Panipat. Marathas were defeated at the end of the battle. The movie revolves around this battle. The movie is set to release on December 6, 2019. The historical drama is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It will feature an ensemble cast of actors that include Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Mohnish Bahl.
