Panipat's lead actor Arjun Kapoor shares his transformation story

Arjun Kapoor has transformed well in recent years, both mentally and physically. The actor now has strong footing in the film industry. Arjun Kapoor, the son of Bonnie Kapoor, made his debut in Bollywood with Ishqzaade, starring alongside Parineeti Chopra. However, the actor gained much popularity with his movie Gunday, in which he starred alongside actor Ranveer Singh. The film was well-received at the box office for the charisma that the two actors brought to screen together. The audience admired the duo and their entertaining qualities. Since his debut film, Arjun Kapoor has experienced much success through different movies along the way. 

Talking about his transformation

Arjun talked about his life-changing transformation. He said, “I'm capable of looking better. I have to be honest with myself and the audience. They are paying 500 rupees to watch me in film theatres. They expect me to look the way I looked when I started out.” Arjun is also known for the obesity issue he had when he was younger. Since then, the actor has struggled to get into shape and transform his physique for the roles that he plays and for his personal achievement too.

Speaking about his past, he said, “I've had health issues, I don't talk about. I come from a slightly obese childhood. Slight is an understatement. That comes with its own ailments. I battle with them constantly. Today, I'm back to feeling my best.” The audience has someone to look up to for fitness goals. He trained with discipline and consistency to achieve what he had set out to achieve. However, the actor is rocking a raging look in his upcoming flick, Panipat.

New look for Panipat

The movie is an Indian historical period drama film based on the Third Battle of Panipat. Helmed by director Ashutosh Gowarikar, the movie is set to release on December 6, 2019. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. Arjun is the main protagonist of the film, he spoke about his new look in Panipat, he said, “I've lost all the excess weight. I'm shooting a film where I'm bald and my director is happy with the way I'm looking. I believe I look like a warrior. There's a certain physicality that the role needed. I was able to achieve that.” When Arjun shared a sneak peek of his look, the audience were stoked. Perhaps this role will be a significant one in his career and would shape his future in the film industry.
