Bhumi Pednekar is currently enjoying the massive critical acclaim of her latest release. The 30-years-old actor essayed the role of Chandro Tomar, a 87-year-old award-winning sharpshooter in the film Saand Ki Aankh. The film has earned over ₹17 crores at the box-office, the film released on Diwali facing competition from major commercial releases, but the film reportedly found its audience and is expected to pull in stable figures at the box office. Bhumi's December release for 2019 will be Pati Patni Aur Woh which will be a light-hearted romantic comedy film. Trailer for the film was recently launched on YouTube.

While speaking to a news daily, Bhumi Pednekar revealed that she had some concerns about remaking the 1978 film Pati Patni Aur Woh. She said that her team was conscious of assuring that the film does not shape up to be a sexist comedy. Bhumi revealed that all her concerns were put to rest when she read the script, calling the film a situational comedy and not a frivolous one. She ensured that the film does not tip to the sexist side and intends to be empowering for both the genders.
Bhumi also stated that people who were a part of the creative team did not want to make an exact remake of the 1978 film. She and her team were aware that a comedy film revolving around a love triangle could easily become cheap and vulgar. The creative team was sensitive and careful while crafting the script of the film.
Pati Patni Aur Woh will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz who has directed comedy films like Happy Bhag Jayegi and Dulha Mil Gaya. The film will release on December 6, 2019.
