On World Yoga Day, on Friday, June 21, Akshay Kumar shared an inspiring post on social media featuring his mother Aruna Bhatia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi came forward to hail her enthusiasm and shared Akshay's Twitter post.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is known for his rigorous fitness regime is the epitome of sturdiness. Looks like the inspiration of the fitness enthusiast is very much influenced by his mother.
On World Yoga Day, on Friday, June 21, the actor shared an inspiring post on social media featuring his mother Aruna Bhatia. Sharing a picture of the 75-year-old doing a yoga asana, meditating with her feet joined and eyes closed, the proud son Akshay wrote, "Sharing something I'm extremely proud of...post her knee surgery at the age of 75, my mother started doing yoga and now it is part of daily routine, improving one day at a time. #NeverTooLate #BreatheInBreatheOut #InternationalDayOfYoga,"

While many on the internet praised the health consciousness of Akshay's mother, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also came forward to hail her enthusiasm. Sharing Akshay's Twitter post, PM Modi wrote, "Happy to see this @akshaykumar! Yoga does transform people's health for the better. #YogaDay2019"

Meanwhile, marking the 5th International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Yoga with around 40,000 enthusiasts at the Prabhat Tara ground on Friday. Talking about the importance of Yoga, he said that everybody should practice the ancient Indian discipline lifelong. The Jharkhand capital was selected as the venue for the main event for the day. Other than that, several other programs were organized across the country to mark the day are were led by Union ministers, including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh.
Several Bollywood celebrities and fitness enthusiasts including Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Malaika Arora, Parineeti Chopra, Bipasha Basu, and others also came forward to commemorate the occasion.
