Pooja Bedi comes to Karan Oberoi's defence over rape, blackmailing charges. Here's what she said
A day after TV actress Karan Oberoi gets arrested for alleged rape and blackmail, Bollywood actress Pooja Bedi opens up about the charges and jumps to the actor's defence.

Television actor Karan Oberoi who is well known for his stint in 2004 TV show, 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin' was arrested on Monday afternoon for allegedly raping and blackmailing a woman, as confirmed by ANI. An FIR has been registered at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai under Section 376 and 384 (rape and extortion) of the Indian Penal Code against the actor.
A day after the charge, actress Pooja Bedi spoke about the charges against Oberoi in an exclusive interview to a leading media publication. Speaking about the case, she said that Oberoi is one of the most 'nicest, decent and kindest person' and that she cannot 'make sense' of all the charges against him.
Narrating the incident of how the complainant and Oberoi met, she said that two started seeing each other in 2016 and in 2018, Karan had filed an NC against the woman who then went on to give an interview saying that she has given him gifts as he is financially not that well-off. Highlighting the fact that the complainant just after a year is now accusing him of 'rape', Bedi alleged that the woman is just distorting facts and that a 'false charge' can ruin a man's life and the women in these matters should also be questioned.
As per sources, the actor allegedly raped the woman under the pretext of marrying her. "Oberoi not only raped the woman but also demanded money from the victim, threatening to release the video if she did not pay up, "as quoted by in the FIR.Oberoi has worked in various television series such as 'Inside Edge' and 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin'. He has also appeared in advertisements of FBB, Royal Enfield, Aldo, and Jack and Jones.
