Prabhu Deva to direct a a unique cop role for Salman for his Eid film?

After the release of Dabangg 3, the famous Bollywood celebrity Salman and well-known dancer, actor, choreographer and director Prabhu Deva are collaborating again according to industry sources. The actor-director duo is soon to hit the box office with another film around Eid next year. The name of the film remains unknown.  Although, the director is soon to plug into its making as soon as Dabangg 3 hits the box office.

Here's what Prabhu Deva has got to say about the Dabangg 3 hero's role on the Eid release

Prabhu revealed to a press that Salman will be playing the role of a policeman. In an interview with a news agency, Prabhu Deva claims that it shall be a completely different character. Otherwise, the audience will perceive the policeman's role as a repetition of character. He said that they are working to make it different without exceeding the scheduled release date.

This will be Salman Khan’s fifth film as a cop-like character after Dabangg 3. Salman’s role as a sharpshooter in Wanted was immensely loved by all his fans. It also won Salman a nomination for the best actor category in IIFA Awards 2010. The Dabangg franchise is also doing undeniably great on the box office. Dabangg went on to gross ₹2.19 billion ($47 million) worldwide. It was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010. Dabangg 2 was also no exception. It earned over ₹583 million in India within three days of its release. The film grossed over ₹2.59 billion worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2012 and is regarded as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

The yet-unnamed film is scheduled to release on Eid 2020. After Dabangg 3, Prabhu Deva and his cast shall reportedly plug into the making of their next film. In a recent interview with an online media portal, the director spoke about his fears that Salman’s police character in the Eid film isn’t sketched differently. The audience might perceive it to be repetitive. Thus, Prabhu Deva claims to works on creating an out-of-the-box character for the Dabangg 3 actor. Prabhu went on to mention that he has been so tied up with the Dabangg 3 shoots that he wasn’t able to make time to visit his kids.
