Preity Zinta condemns blood bath; expresses shock and anger over the dastardly terror attack in Pulwama

As per official reports, 37 jawans were martyred and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade. Preity Zinta took to Twitter and conveyed her condolences to the families and prayers for the injured.

As per official reports, 37 jawans were martyred and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade when their convoy was targeted in Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. 

Celebrities from the film industry are furious and vented their anger out on social media after the incident. One of them was Preity Zinta who took to Twitter and conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the families and prayers for the injured.

Last evening, the 54 Battalion of CRPF was targeted by the terrorists as their vehicle was attacked with an IED blast. There were 35 personnel aboard the vehicle that was attacked and as per CRPF sources, 100 kg of explosive was used in IED blast. Moreover, Pakistan backed Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the biggest terror attack in the last 15 years, in a text message to Kashmiri News Agency GNS.

Various other actors such as Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal and Paresh Rawal to name a few conveyed their condolences to the families, prayers for the injured and the need to hit back at the perpetrators. 

Meanwhile, CRPF also issued a statement following the terror attack:

  • The convoy started from Jammu around 4 am. It was an Up Convoy to Srinagar. 
  • 70 vehicles were in this convoy with 2,500 CRPF personnel. 
  • Road opening party had cleared the route. 
  • The convoy had last checked in at Anantnag. 
  • A civilian car was laden with IED. 
  • CRPF DG RR Bhatnagar is returning to Delhi today evening. 
  • IG Kashmir Zulfikar Hasan is at the spot.
