Akshay Kumar has confirmed that he will be donning the warrior hat for his next historical drama titled 'Prithviraj'. On the occasion of his 52nd bday, the actor unveiled the teaser and first look of the film and informed that the period film will be directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and will release on Diwali 2020. As per reports, the film is said to revolve around the first battle of Tarain led by Prithvi Raj Chauhan and will go on floors in November 2019.

Prithviraj: 

The historical drama will be shot across two locations, mainly Mumbai and Delhi and media reports claim that Sanjay Dutt is being considered for the role opposite Akshay Kumar. Watch the teaser below-

Akshay Kumar at fourth place in Forbes highest-paid actor list: 

Akshay is currently riding high on the success of his latest release "Mission Mangal" which has crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The outlet reported that Akshay pulls in "at least USD 5 million and up to USD 10 million per film". He gets million through his endorsement of over 20 brands, including Tata and Harpic.

Mission Mangal- a hit at the box office: 

Akshay Kumar's latest outing 'Mission Mangal' has been showered with lots of praise. The film celebrates the success of ISRO's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) which made India the first country to launch its satellite in Mars' orbit in the first go. 'Mission Mangal' which emerged as Akshay Kumar's biggest opener has attained yet another remarkable feat by crossing Rs. 175 crore mark recently. 

 As per media reports, the 'Mission Mangal' was also recently announced tax-free in the state of Maharashtra for its educational value. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Taapsee, the film also stars Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Kulari and Nithya Menon in pivotal roles. 'Mission Mangal' is produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, and Fox Star Studios and released on August 15, 2019.
