Priyanka Chopra gets emotional at TIFF debut of 'The Sky Is Pink'
Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet of TIFF 2019 alongside director Shonali Bose and Farhan Akhtar as their much-awaited film 'The Sky is Pink' premiered.

Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet of Toronto International Film Festival 2019 alongside director Shonali Bose and actor Farhan Akhtar as their much-awaited film 'The Sky is Pink' premiered on Saturday. The film which was reportedly appreciated by the audience received a standing ovation post it's screening. Priyanka Chopra who has previously opened up about her connection with the film was seen brushing off her tears after a long warm proud hug with director Shonali Bose. Actor Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Saraf were also present at the event. 'The Sky Is Pink' team was seen group-hugging post the event.

Meanwhile, Pop sensation Nick Jonas congratulated wife Priyanka Chopra and the entire 'The Sky Is Pink' team for the TIFF premiere. He shared a picture of Priyanka Chopra, Shonali Bose and Farhan Akhtar from their red-carpet appearance and wrote, "Congratulations Priyanka Chopra and the entire Sky Is Pink team on for TIFF premiere! This movie is so powerful."

Priyanka Chopra further replied to it saying, "Thank You Baby". In her Instagram story, she further revealed that Nick Jonas gifted her 100 pink roses to celebrate the release.

The Sky is Pink
Directed by Shonali Bose, the film is a love story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary's parents, played by Priyanka and Farhan. 'Dangal' actress Zaira Wasim, who recently quit acting, is essaying the role of Aisha in the film. Rohit Saraf is also a part of the cast. Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The news was shared on the official website of the movie gala, which is scheduled to run through September 5 to 15. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters this October.
