Priyanka Chopra is enjoying a fruitful phase in her life right now with an upcoming release in Bollywood. The actor married the American singer Nick Jonas last year. Her professional career is also witnessing a positive rise. Priyanka has dabbled in acting, singing and producing. But when it comes to directing, the Quantico actor has a different opinion on it.
The Sky Is Pink will release on October 11
In an interview with a leading media outlet, Priyanka was asked about her opinion towards directing films. Her response to this question was that directing makes her nervous and it entails a tremendous amount of responsibility. She has not shied away from the possibility of becoming a director. However, she said the process will be slow, just like the way she moved to production from acting.
This is Priyanka Chopra's first Bollywood film in three years
Her next film, The Sky Is Pink, is directed by Shonali Bose. Priyanka was asked about her experience working with the director. She shared with a media portal that gender does not define anything for her. She also believes that woman are just as capable or as incapable as men as their merit makes them.
Priyanka began her film career after winning the coveted Miss World title in the year 2000. She made her Bollywood debut with the Akshay Kumar-starrer Andaaz. Since then, Priyanka emerged as one of the most successful Bollywood heroines. In 2012, Priyanka made her move to Hollywood and debuted as a singer. After that, she was flooded with acting opportunities, and in 2015, she was cast in the lead role for the ABC show Quantico.
The Sky Is Pink will release on October 11. Farhan Akhtar also co-stars alongside Priyanka in the film, which also features Dangal actor Zaira Wasim. Priyanka also co-produced the film through her production company, Purple Pebble Pictures, along with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The early reviews have been encouraging and the anticipation for the film's release is high amongst filmgoers.
