Priyanka Chopra talks about changing her surname post her wedding

Priyanka Chopra, who is currently busy promoting her film The Sky is Pink, had one of the biggest wedding celebrations of 2018. Priyanka Chopra now Priyanka Chopra Jonas and husband Nick Jonas will be celebrating their one-year anniversary this year on December 1. The Quantico actress created quite a stir when she chose to add Jonas’ surname to her maiden name rather than changing it completely. Priyanka Chopra is a frequent guest on American Talk Shows. The Baywatch actress appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon post her big fat Indian wedding to Nick Jonas in Jaipur. Jimmy dived into asking her details about her wedding and taking up Nick’s surname. Priyanka answered it nonchalantly by stating that she did not think taking up her husband’s surname will be such a big deal. She further explained that she always wanted to add Jonas to her maiden name because she is a bit traditional when it comes to these affairs. But the Barfi actress did not shy away from stating that she never wanted to change her identity.

Jimmy further quizzed her for details regarding her wedding and the ceremonies involved to which she had a set of witty replies ready. While speaking about her sangeet ceremony, she compared it to a fun version of a rehearsal dinner. Fallon also asked about a picture from the dance competition at her sangeet to which she replied that they brought their own version of Coachella on stage.

The big fat wedding details

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got engaged in July in Mumbai. The wedding of the couple took place in Jaipur at Umaid Bhawan Palace. The western ceremony out of the two wedding ceremonies was officiated by Nick’s father. Priyanka’s wedding gown for the western ceremony was a customed Ralph Lauren outfit. The Indian wedding outfit was designed by none other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Priyanka's wedding reception in Delhi was attended by India’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
