R Balki says Ghoomer climax will be 'as exciting' as that of Sunny Deol's Gadar

Filmmaker R Balki talked about his film Ghoomer at the trailer launch event and disclosed that the climax of the film is as exciting as Sunny Deol's Gadar.

Ghoomer, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher as the main leads, is all set to release in theatres this month. The film has been directed by renowned filmmaker R Balki, who is well-known for his films like Cheeni Kum and Paa. Recently, the trailer of the film was launched in  Mumbai .  Speaking at the event, Balki opened up about Ghoomer's climax.

R Balki opens up about the climax of Ghoomer

The trailer launch event of Ghoomer was held in Mumbai on August 4. At the event, director R Balki promised the audience that the climax of Ghoomer will be as exciting as the action-packed one seen in Sunny Deol's Gadar (2001). The filmmaker said, "The climax of Ghoomer is as exciting as Gadar. I promise you that. I hope Ghoomer brings the audience back to the halls."

R Balki further added that he had an exciting and thrilling time while shooting the climax of Ghoomer. He mentioned, "Last 30 mins of Ghoomer is among the most exciting things I have shot."

For the unversed, in the iconic climax scene of Gadar, Sakeena got injured while escaping with her husband and son. However, she regained conciousness after listening to her son's song.  Her father soon forgave her and accepted Tara. 

Saiyam Kher on R Balki's obsession with cricket

Meanwhile, the star cast of the film also shared their personal experiences while filming Ghoomer. Saiyami Kher opened up about R Balki's obsession with cricket during the trailer launch event. She revealed that the filmmaker's house is full of cricket gear. The Mirzya actress also revealed that she was trained by cricketer Murali Kartik for her upcoming movie. She said, "I got to train professionally for the first time. Murali Kartik trained me in left arm bowling. I can tell all my boyfriends now that I can take your wicket in the first three balls."

Ghoomer will open in theatres on August 18.
