Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma launched a sharp attack at the Congress party over their stance on the Jammu and Kashmir issue. Taking to Twitter on Indian Independence Day, Ram Gopal Verma suggested Congress, of which UPA Chairperson has been newly designated as the party president, to contest elections from Pakistan, adding that it will surely win in the neighbouring country.
This statement came from the Bollywood director in the light of the comments made by Congress leader including Priyanka Gandhi and former chief Rahul Gandhi, which echoed the remarks of Pakistan ministers and its PM Imran Khan on the matter of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pak PM Imran Khan echoes Rahul Gandhi, attacks RSS
In his Pakistan Independence Day speech on August 14, Pakistan PM Imran Khan once again tried to interfere in the internal matters of India, this time by echoing the words of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Speaking in Muzaffarabad, Imran Khan appeared to focus less on Pakistan and more on India. He targeted the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and said it espoused 'Nazi ideology', keeping up his government's sole agenda of diverting attention away from all his country's problems to the goings-on in Kashmir.
Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi's stand mirror Pakistan's words
Rahul Gandhi had on August 6 taken to Twitter and made comments similar to those made by Pakistan in the matter.
Congress general secretary UP (East), Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had termed the passing of J&K (Reorganisation) Bill 2019 as "unconstitutional", a statement Pakistan PM Imran Khan has been regularly.
