Rana Daggubati: Here are the Baahubali actor's best South Indian films

Rana Daggubati is a prominent actor in Telugu cinema. He is known for his work in Bollywood movies such as Baby, and The Ghazi Attack amongst others. Dum Maaro Dum was his debut Hindi film. The actor starred alongside Bipasha Basu, Abhishek Bachchan, Prateik Babbar, and Aditya Pancholi in this Rohan Sippy’s directorial movie. 1.      Krishnam Vande Jagadguru

Helmed by Krish, this flick was a bit off-beat. This 2012 action drama movie garnered universal acclaim for the characters of Rana Daggubati and Nayantara in pivotal roles. The film has beautifully blended the art form of Surabhi and the movie based on the issue of illegal mining in Bellary. Produced under the banner of First Frama Entertainment, Krishnam Vande Jagadguru was declared a box office hit. This movie was released in Tamil and dubbed in other languages including Malayalam and Hindi.

2.      Leader

Written and director by Sekhar Kammula, Leader is well appreciated by the critics and the audience alike. Rana Daggubati made his acting debut with this political drama film. The actor went on to win several national awards for his brilliant performance in the movie. Released in 2010, Leader was proved to be a super hit at the box office. Rana’s debut film was also dubbed into Hindi in 2011 as Rajyudh.

3.     The Baahubali series

This unbeatable film series was helmed by SS Rajamouli. The first movie was Baahubali: The Beginning and the second chapter is Baahubali: The Conclusion. Both of these films were blockbuster hits. The two instalments starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in lead roles. Rana was mind-blowing in the movie and had to work hard for his physique in Baahubali. The movies exceeded the audience’s expectations.

4.      Rudhramadevi

Based on the life of Rudramadevi, the movie features Anushka Shetty in the lead role and an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Baba Sehgal, Nithya Menen, Catherine  Tresa and Vikranjeet Virk in prominent roles. Written and directed by Gunasekhar, the 3D biographical movie was released in 2015. The epic action film smashed the box office by becoming the fifth-highest opening day grossing Indian movie of 2015. Rudhramadevi was dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. Moreover, its Tamil version was also released a week later.
