After allegations surfaced against Vikas Bahl of sexually harassing a female employee of the-now-dissolved Phantom films, 'Queen' actress Kangana Ranaut was among the first to join the chorus and slam him.
Kangana had claimed that Vikas used to "tightly hug her, bury his face in her neck, take a breath of her hair and compliment the way she used to smell." She also said she needed a good amount of strength to pull herself out of his embrace and that his stories of 'casual sex every day' was his addiction becoming a sickness. Vikas' ex-wife Richa Dubey had hit back at the actress by mentioning nine loopholes in her statement. She spoke about their friendly equations and dancing together at Madhu Mantena's wedding and how she never raised the issue then but was pointing them out suddenly.
Kangana had shot back at her defence by calling her 'another ex-wife' who came to support her ex-husband. She had also wondered why she had divorced her 'holier-than-thou husband' and urged her to stop their 'we are family' stance.
Gauahar Khan was among those who was not pleased with Kangana's response and took to Twitter to call her a 'feminist of convenience'. She slammed the actress for attacking a woman's marital status. She also called her out for using her real agenda by using the word 'another' in her comment. Gauahar also said her voice was 'shrill' and it was not what strong women need.
And now Kangana's sister Rangoli has come out in support of the actress. She said her sister wouldn't have left films opposite Khans or refused fairness creams advertisements if 'promoting' films was her main intention. Rangoli's message to her detractors was to find another excuse as 'it's too ghisa pitaa(stale).'
Not just the victims and the harassers, the #MeToo movement as even got the others to raise their voices.
