Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone: From Ram-Leela to Lake Como

Ever since the couple has given us amazing hit films like Goliyo Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have given their fans major couple goals. The couple tied the knot on November 15, 2018, at a destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. Recently, Ranveer Singh shared a picture from the sets of their first film together, Ram-Leela, on his Instagram and fans cannot stop gushing over the couple. The way Ranveer is looking at Deepika has caught everyone’s attention. While Ranveer’s post has surely set the internet into a tizzy, it is also Deepika’s comment which is stealing the show.  

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s love story

At a press summit earlier this month, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had opened up about their first meeting and impressions of each other. Deepika had concluded that Ranveer was not her type. However, Ranveer said that he was smitten by her beauty. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s romance started flourishing on the sets of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Their magnetic chemistry in the film triggered their dating rumours all over tinsel town. Since then, film-makers have been eager to cast the duo in their respective films. On the film’s first anniversary, Ranveer shared a picture of the two with the caption, “Don’t we look great together?”

Film Sets visits, romantic and public appearances

In 2013, it was said that Ranveer had visited the sets of Happy New Year, Piku (2015) and Chennai Express to spend time with Deepika Padukone. Deepika’s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage director DJ Caruso once revealed in an interview that Ranveer had come to the set. From 2015, their event appearances became more frequent and were often spotted arriving in the same car. At the IIFA Awards ceremony, Ranveer went down on his knees for Deepika and gave her a large red heart. Their relationship is said to have become official when Ranveer and Deepika were seen leaving Ambani's bash, hand-in-hand. The duo was once again roped in by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Bajirao Mastani (2015). Their social media banter is also often considered adorable by their fans. In 2017, in an interview with a media organization, Deepika spoke about her equation with Ranveer and how comfortable they are with each other. She could not stop praising Ranveer for his portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavat. She went on to say that this film had catapulted him into a very "fine place".

By the beginning of 2018, their wedding rumours started taking over tinsel town. The two made a joint announcement about their wedding on October 21, 2018. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got hitched together on November 14 and 15 in grand Konkani and Sindhi celebrations and hosted a grand reception for the Bollywood fraternity on November 28, 2018.
