'Ranveer Singh is my best friend', says wife Deepika Padukone

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are considered to be an ideal couple for a reason. The two started allegedly dating on the sets of their film, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. The duo soon had a fairy-tale wedding at Lake Como, Italy after 6 years of courtship. Since then, the couple is enjoying their marital bliss to the fullest. Recently, Deepika Padukone revealed about her camaraderie with husband Ranveer Singh to a well-known publication. The actor revealed that she credits her husband for her success in the film fraternity. Deepika Padukone further revealed that she and her husband Ranveer are a team and that he is extremely supportive of her career. Deepika Padukone also went on to say that Ranveer Singh was her main pillar of strength when she suffered from Depression. She called Ranveer her best friend and spoke further about the love and excitement they have for each other.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have shared the screen space in critically-acclaimed films like Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. The couple is all set to share screen space again in the film, 83. The film will have Ranveer Singh playing the role of the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. His off-screen wife Deepika Padukone will be essaying the role of his reel wife, Romi Dev in the film. The film will be helmed by Kabir Khan. The movie will be releasing in April 2020. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Pankaj Tripathi, Harrdy Sandhu and Saqib Saleem in pivotal roles.
