Masti

The adult comedy film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi & Aftab Shivdasani as three friends. The movie revolves around the lives of three friends and how they get caught up in a trap. Riteish plays a helpless husband who is ruled over by a dominating wife, played by Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Lara Dutta, Amrita Rao and Archana Puran Singh. The popularity of the film can be seen as two more parts were made after the first being a hit.

Apna Sapna Money Money

The 2006 release was a multi-starrer comedy film. It includes Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Sunil Shetty, Chunky Pandey, Riya Sen, Celina Jaitly and Koena Mitra. Even after this star cast, the movie did not perform well at the box office. However, Riteish’s role of a con man was hilarious and appreciated by many. He was seen in many different avatars in the film itself.

Dhamaal

The movie is considered to be one of the best comedy movies by the audience and many critics as well. Riteish played the role of a local want-to-be detective Deshbandhu Roy, in a funny manner. Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Aashish Chaudhary also starred in the movie. It was a success at the box office and was turned into a franchise.

Housefull

One of the most famous comedy movies is Housefull. It had a big star cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal and Chunky Pandey. Still, Riteish's role as an innocent lover who gets stuck in the confusing situation stood out of the lot. The movie reportedly collected ₹117 crores worldwide. The fame of the film can be seen as the fourth part of the franchise is slated to release.

Ek Villain

Released in 2014, the movie marked Riteish's debut as a villain. Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor were in the lead pair. However Riteish as Rakesh Mahadkar, a psychopath killer, received a lot of appreciation for his role. The movie was a hit at the box office and its songs were chartbusters.

Lai Bhaari

The Maharashtrian boy made his debut in the Marathi film industry with Lai Bhaari in 2014. The action-drama revolves around a story on family property issues, and how things get dirty afterward. Riteish as Mauli gave an outstanding performance as per both critics and audiences. The film had catchy dialogues. As per reports, it collected ₹40 crores and became the highest-grossing Marathi film at that time.
