So all you lovely people here goes my RESPONSE -#SaandKiAankh pic.twitter.com/guldaTWaks
The Twitter debate over Saand Ki Aankh
Nothing against #taapseepannu and #BhumiPednekar, both great actresses but couldn’t they have cast anyone from Surekha Sikri, Neena Gupta, Shabana Azmi, Deepti Naval, Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, Dimple Kapadia, Supriya Pilgaonkar as the Shooter Dadis instead #SaandKiAankh

I absolutely adore Taapsee Pannu & Bhumi Pednekar as actors. But #SaandKiAankh is not a film for them. Casting them in the film, & not prolific senior actresses just opens doors to conversations about ageism & sexism in Cinema because I don’t see Amitabh Bachchan not being cast.

Neena gupta,Deepti naval & the likes would have done justice to these characters,U want to show women empowerment & on the other side u have signed younger actresses to portray 60+ age character cuz u think 50-60+ age actresses cant carry the film on their shoulders #SaandKiAankh
