Sacred Games 2: Netizens poke fun at Saaho, Mission Mangal and Batla House with hilarious memes as all routes lead to anticipated ventures on Independence Day
After waking up at 6am, showering love, hate and memes on the international series ‘Game of Thrones’, Indians are all set to bring out some of the same emotions for their own soil’s ‘Sacred Games’.

One year and two days after the premiere of the first season, the makers of the series unveiled the trailer of the second season and caught the fans by surprise. Within minutes, that was all netizens were discussing, as they conveyed excitement for the show with interesting tweets and hilarious memes. However, what caught the netizens’ attention was the series release date, Independence Day, August 15. There has been a lot of talk over not one or two but three films releasing on the same day, ‘Saaho’, ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Batla House,’ but with the announcement of the Saif Ali Khan-Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, the Twitterati expressed in no uncertain terms what their first choice would be.
Sharing stills from ‘Sacred Games 2’ and some of its dialogues like ‘Sacrifices must be made’, netizens conveyed how neither of the big screen ventures would be their first choice. Some quipped that ‘ultra legends’ would watch the show, while all others would go for the movies.

And many of them were spoilt for choice, but conveyed that they were going to watch all the four ventures and sleep the next day.
Apart from Saif and Nawazuddin, Pankaj Tripathi, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey are the new entrants to the series while last season’s Radhika Apte and Kubbra Sait were either not seen or briefly seen.
The series has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.
