It is after 13 years that Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan have reunited for an upcoming historical war drama, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The trailer of the film was released recently and it has received a tremendous amount of views in a short period of time. As the trailer shows, Ajay is seen as the great Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare, whereas Saif is essaying the role of Udaybhan Rathod, a Mughal ally and Tanhaji’s rival. It seems that Saif Ali Khan is happy to reunite with the “generous and competitive” actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn once again.

Recently, at the trailer launch of the film, Saif Ali Khan was asked about reuniting and experience of working with his Omkara co-star Ajay Devgn. Saif said that the first time he met Ajay on the sets of Tanhaji, he felt nothing much has changed. He thought that maybe they became more mature. Saif also believes Ajay to be a more generous and competitive actor and filmmaker and that there has never been any kind of insecurity from Ajay's side.
According to Saif, he has got the best roles whenever he has worked with Ajay. Reportedly, Tanhaji marks Devgn’s 100th movie as an actor. Happy to be a part of this milestone, Saif recalled their memories together when they worked in Omkara. According to Khan, Ajay has so much love for his films. This film is an incredible achievement, in terms of technical fitness and unique passion. Set in 1670, the film will also show the real-life couple Ajay and Kajol as an on-screen couple where Kajol plays the role of Tanhaji’s wife, Savitribai Malusare.

Talking about the depiction according to the trailer, the veteran actors also bring an amazing dialogue delivery to the table in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Saif’s experimental tone and swift change between muscle and mind take attention. Kajol looks like a Maratha warrior herself who stands by her husband and his firm stand on decisions. Directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film also casts Sharad Kelkar as the great Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
