Saif Ali Khan to be replaced by R Madhavan for Bunty Aur Babli 2.0

The shoot of Bunty Aur Babli 2.0 has reportedly started and Abhishek Bachchan will not be part of this project. Instead, Saif Ali Khan was approached to take Abhishek’s place in the film. Initially, he was keen on doing the project but later had to step off the project. Like the actor, the original director of the film, Shaad Ali, was not interested in being a part of the project. The new instalment will be directed by Varun V. Sharma and is expected to hit theatres on August 2020.

It has now been confirmed that Saif Ali Khan is not going to be seen in the coming sequel of the famous Bunty Aur Babli. His sudden exit from the project has reportedly made the fans very sad and the crew was trying to find the best replacement for him. It has now been confirmed that R Madhavan will be stepping into Abhishek Bachchan’s shoes to play alongside Rani Mukherjee. The actor has shown interest in the project and, reportedly, after reading the script, he gave an immediate thumbs up for the project. But the "nawab," Saif, will still be busy with some of his upcoming movies.

Saif's next film is Laal Kaptaan, which hits the theatres this October 18. Here, Saif will be playing the role of a Naga Sadhu who looks similar to Captian Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Later, the star is expected to be seen on the big screen on November 19 in Jawaani Jaaneman. In the coming year, he is coming out with three new films including Dil Bechara, Bhoot Police, and Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.
