Saina Nehwal sends 'best wishes' to Parineeti Chopra for biopic

Parineeti Chopra's film on the life of ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal is currently in making. While the actress is prepping hard for the project, recently, Saina Nehwal herself came forward to extend best wishes to her and the team. She shared a picture of Panineeti Chopra in sports costume and said that she is looking forward to this journey together.

Parineeti Chopra gears up for Saina Nehwal biopic

Parineeti Chopra who will soon be seen essaying the life of ace shuttler is training hard for the Saina Nehwal biopic which is reportedly titled 'Saina'. She has been practicing day and night to ace the game. During a recent media interaction, she said that she has been religiously learning the game and is neck-deep in the preparations for the biopic.

"The shooting will start soon. I am currently training for it very hard. I am playing badminton for two hours and getting trained and doing prep work for an hour. "I recently wrapped up 'The Girl on The Train'. These two films are very interesting films of my career and it is something I have not done before and I hope people like it," Parineeti Chopra said.

Saina Nehwal biopic

The Saina Nehwal biopic has been making headlines for quite a while now. Previously, actress Shraddha Kapoor was roped to play the lead role in the biopic. She had even started shooting for the film in September, last year. However, the filming was halted soon after she was diagnosed with dengue. Later, the actor quit the project due to scheduling conflicts after two years of prep. Later Parineeti Chopra was roped for the project who is now set to represent the Badminton player on-screen. 

The Saina Nehwal biopic will be helmed by Taare Zameen Par director Amole Gupte and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-series. It is set for a 2020 release.
