Salman Khan, Kiren Rijiju and Pema Khandu cycle in scenic Arunachal Pradesh

Amid the picturesque hills of Arunachal Pradesh, actor Salman Khan, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu and MP from Arunachal Pradesh Kiren Rijiju were cycling in their glory on Thursday.  

The Chief Minister shared a few photographs on Twitter describing this ride as an ‘exhilarating experience’ at Mechuka on November 22.   He even thanked the actor for his presence at the Mechuka Adventure Festival, thus confirming his presence.

Following Khandu, Rijiju too shared a picture of the three of them after concluding the ride and extended his gratitude to Khan for promoting the State as a destination for adventure tourism.

Khan accompanied by both the politicians addressed a large crowd in Menchka on Thursday.  At the gathering, photos showcase Khan wrapped in the traditional outfit of the State.

The sixth edition of the annual Mechuka adventure festival will be held from November 23 to 25 in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh in 2018. The festival will be mutually organised by the Union tourism ministry and the State Tourism department.

Currently, shooting of Salman Khan’s next film and one of the most anticipated movies of next year, ‘Bharat’ has been proceeding at full throttle, but a roadblock was reportedly said to have hit the schedule. According to reports, farmers in Jodha village near Ludhiana were ‘upset’ with the cast and crew for recreating the Wagah Border in their fields as they themselves couldn’t access them because of the shoot. The makers had reportedly acquired 19 acres of the farms at Rs 80,000 per acre for the erection of the sets.
