Sanjay Dutt: Best of his dialogues from all these years in cinema

Sanjay Dutt has successfully portrayed his bad boy image in most of his films and some protagonist roles as well. We liat down some of his best dialogues.

Sanjay Dutt, son of popular actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, made his film debut in the year 1981 with Rocky.  Since then, Sanjay Dutt has had several films which were a hit and a miss. However, some of his film’s dialogue are fan favourites and essayed his dominance over the character’s depiction. We list down some of the best dialogues from his films over the years.

Best of Sanjay Dutt dialogues

This dialogue was uttered by Sanjay in his film Vaastav: The Reality, which was a massive hit in the year 1999. The dialogue resonates with his role as Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar. The film took a theatrical take on the Mumbai underworld, Sanju said, “Mumabi pe raj karta hoon…. raj” which translated to, “I rule Mumbai.” This coincided with his actual bad boy image in the industry back in the 1990’s according to several reports.

Another dialogue from the film Luck, 2009, was a hit amongst the audience. Sanjay Dutt played the role of Karim Moussa who is mostly lucky. The film overall explores the idea of testing one’s luck. Sanjay said to his co-star Imran Khan, “Zindagi mein luck bhi sirf uska saath deta hai…jis mein jeetne ka jazba ho…” The dialogue translates to, “In life, luck accompanies the one who has a passion for winning.”

This dialogue from Policigiri was indeed a favourite of many Dutt fans. In the film, he said, “Galat tareeke se sahi kaam mujhe karna aata hai…” which means, “I know how to do right things the wrong way. The police drama released back in 2013 and was directed by K.S. Ravikumar. The film was another take on ‘Cop Vs Goon’ concept and Sanjay justified all his dialogues according to reports.

On the work front

Sanjay Dutt was recently seen in the remake of Telugu film Prassthanam, which was released on 20th September with the same title. Sanjay Dutt produced as well as acted in the film. The film performed averagely, according to Box Office India reports. He will be seen next in Bhuj: The Pride of India alongside Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and Rana Daggubati. The initial release date for the film is August 2020.
