Bollywood actor Sanjeev Kumar is still known as 'Thakur' of Sholay. Born in Gujarati family on July 9, 1938, Sanjeev Kumar's real name was Harihar Jethalal Jariwala. He made his Bollywood debut in the film 'Nishan' and after this, he started to surprise everyone with his strong acting skills. Sholay (1975)
The first name that should come in the list is Sholay. The film has taught us some very important lessons of friendship, love and being faithful. The film featured some of the biggest actors of the ‘70s - Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amjad Khan in the lead roles. Sholay is one of the most famous films of Bollywood till now.

Aandhi (1975)
The political drama featured Sanjeev Kumar and Suchitra Sen in the pivotal roles. the film was based on the life of the then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her relationship with her estranged husband. Sanjeev Kumar won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor and the film won Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie.

Angoor (1975)
Featuring Sanjeev Kumar and Moushumi Chatterjee in the lead roles, the movie is based on Shakespeare's 'A Comedy of Errors'. The actor was nominated for Filmfare Awards for Best Actor. The film was adapted for cinema by Debu Sen in the form of a film called Do Dooni Char.

Pati Patni Aur Woh (1978)
The film featured Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur in the lead roles. In the movie, the character of Sanjeev Kumar gets infatuated to his new secretary played by Ranjeeta while already being married to Vidya Sinha. Recently, the remake of the film is being made with the same name which features Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.

Trishul (1978)
The film focuses on the three intertwined stories of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, and Shashi Kapoor. The film also featured Raakhee, Hema Malini, and Poonam Dhillon in the pivotal roles. Also, the film was the debut film of Poonam Dhillon. The movie was a "Super Hit" at the box office and one of the top grosser of 1978.
