Satellite Shankar: Story of the Sooraj Pancholi-Megha Akash starrer

Satellite Shankar is an upcoming action drama movie starring Sooraj Pancholi and south Indian sensation Megha Akash in prominent roles. Helmed by Irfan Kamal, Satellite Shankar is reportedly based on the lives of soldiers. It revolves around the struggles and adventures of a jawan. Furthermore, it focuses on an army man’s journey of serving his country whilst discovering his real self.

Satellite Shankar's poster released

On October 11, 2019, Aditya Pancholi’s son took to Instagram to share a poster of the film. He is visible in camouflage pants with a black fitted t-shirt. The actor seems to be looking slightly up and strolling ahead. In the background, an outline of India’s map can be seen. The poster has a caption which reads, “ Not all heroes go to the battlefield”

Earlier, the Hero actor revealed to a news agency that his upcoming film has nothing to do with international relations. He also stated his role showcases the heart-wrenching tale of brave hearts which is raw and pure and needs to be told. According to sources, the film has been shot in numerous locations across ten states in the country. Moreover, Pancholi spent a lot of time in army base camps located in Pathankot, Amritsar and Chitkut to deeply understand his character. 

Sharing the release date with Marjaavaan 

Produced under the banner of Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd and Cine 1 Studios, Satellite Shankar is scheduled to theatrically release on November 15, 2019. The film was hit the theatres on July 5 and September 6 before finally settling down on November 15. Sooraj Pancholi starrer will clash with Milap Zaveri’s thriller film Marjaavaan featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.

Sooraj Pancholi's previous roles

Sooraj Pancholi was earlier seen in Nikhil Advani’s romantic action drama Hero that released in 2015. This film starring Pancholi opposite Athiya Shetty is a remake of the Subhash Ghai’s 1983 directorial film of the same name. This film represents the duo as lovers who would go to any extent and face all the odds for their relationship. Pancholi will make his second appearance in Satellite Shankar after his lead role in Hero.
