With a positive word of mouth, Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha-starrer Section 375 is doing well at the box-office. The critically acclaimed film is competing strongly with the recent mass-entertainer films Dream Girl and Chhichhore. Trade reports indicate that the film might collect above ₹20 crores at the box-office in the next few days. The latest reports suggest that the film currently stands at ₹12.49 crores in terms of box-office collection.
There are some films for which stars don't need to do much promotion. Their stories and the stars' performances are sometimes enough to attract the audience. And Section 375 is one of those films. Ajay Bhal's direction and Manish Gupta's screenplay won the hearts of the audience. The cast and the crew of the film proved that content is the only key to engage the audience. While interacting with media, the Dil Chahta Hai actor praised the director of the film for doing a thorough research and making everyone comfortable on the sets. He further added that Section 375 will be an unusual cinematic experience for the audience.
Bholi Punjaban fame actor Richa Chadha also shared her experience during the event. While sharing the details of her character in the film she revealed that she will be essaying the role of a Public Prosecutor. She further added that her role was challenging and she really enjoyed working with such a great cast and director.

Section 375 is a courtroom drama film, based on Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code. The section of the IPC states the laws and punishments regarding consent and permission. The story of the film appeals that there are women who misuse this Section for their advantages are a menace to society. The courtroom drama has a logical debate along with compelling dialogues.
The Panorama Studios and T-Series helm the film along with PVR Pictures and Anand Pandit Motion. The film was first premiered at Singapore South Asian International Film Festival. The direction and additional screenplay of the film are done by Ajay Bhal. The film was released alongside Ayushmann Khurrana's mass-entertainer Dream Girl on the 13th of September.
