Jersey is listed as among Nani’s best performances, as it managed to garner appreciation from fans and critics. Nani had left no stone unturned to add authenticity to his character, as he had to undergo vigorous training sessions to portray the character of a cricketer. The actor took 70 days of cricket training to fit into the shoes of the character. Jersey also stars Sathyaraj and Shraddha Srinath in prominent roles.

Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey remake

Reportedly, the makers of the movie have roped in actor Shahid Kapoor for the remake of the hit South Indian film, Jersey. Helmed by Gowtham Tinnanauri, the movie will hit the theatres on August 2020. In an interview with a leading daily, Gowtham confessed that he was excited to direct the remake of the South Indian film. Tinnanauri also added that Shahid Kapoor was the first choice for the movie, as no one could recreate the positive impact Jersey created on its audience down South.
