Bhumi Pednekar has joined the cast and crew of the upcoming movie, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, in Varanasi. Ayushmann posted a video from the sets, where Bhumi was seen sitting next to actor Jitendra Kumar. Through her caption, she expressed her excitement of reuniting with her Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Bala co-star Ayushmann. Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the movie is the sequel to the 2017 hit movie, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The first installment of the franchise was directed by R.S. Prasanna. The movie narrates the tale of a man dealing with the repercussions of erectile dysfunction. The movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead was a box office hit.

The makers of the forthcoming movie released the teaser of the film a few months back. According to the teaser, the film will deal with homosexuality and taboo surrounding it. Reportedly, the movie is slated to release in the first half of 2020. The romantic comedy has an ensemble cast consisting of Ayushmann Khurrana, Maanvi Gagroo, Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, among others.
