Sidharth Malhotra: Here is how the Marjaavaan actor kick-started his acting career

Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra started his acting career with Student of the Year alongside debutantes Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. He marked his Bollywood career as an assistant director for My Name is Khan in 2010. Malhotra has been a part of several highest-grosser movies including Kapoor and Sons and Ek Villain. He has been the recipient of several accolades for his skilful acting.

Sidharth's acting career

The Marjaavaan actor has spoken about his acting career in numerous interviews. Moreover, one of the most asked questions about him on Google involves the same. He has replied to it through a small video. The Hasee Toh Phasee actor does not come from a Bollywood background. But the unstoppable artist gave his blood, sweat, and tears to be one of the most sought after actors in the Hindi film industry.

Hailing from the capital city of New Delhi, Sidharth Malhotra started as a model when he was a college-goer. In an interview with a leading daily, the Ek Villain actor revealed that modelling was fun for him and earned him pocket money. Malhotra would go for fashion shows in his home town. In the search for something more exciting, he left modelling about three years later. The Baar Baar Dekho actor also revealed that he had no thoughts of becoming an actor, yet he gave an audition while modelling for an assignment.

While answering in the video, the Aiyaary actor said that the movie was never made but it got him much-keen to explore the Bollywood world. Following his heart, Malhotra applied for the assistant director position for My Name is Khan. That is how he entered the glamorous world and kick-started his acting journey, never to look back again. Not knowing where would it lead him, he marked his debut with Student of The Year alongside two other debutants.

Forthcoming ventures

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sidharth Malhotra has recently appeared in Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The actor has Vishnuvardhan’s biographical action flick Shershaah in his kitty. The movie will feature Kiara Advani opposite Siddharth in the lead roles.
