Sidharth Malhotra to take a break from films? actor breaks silence

The last few films of Sidharth Malhotra such as 'Jabariya Jodi', 'Ittefaq', and 'Hasee Toh Phasee', to name a few have not performed well at the ticketing counters. Speculations have been rife that due to this, Malhotra is all set to take a sabbatical from films. However, in a recent media interaction during his film 'Marjaavaan' trailer release, the actor said, "Every actor thinks about what he wants from a film before signing it. This film is an ode to all the heroes that I have seen in Hindi movies. I have always been inspired by the hero's entry, action and stuff like, so with similar excitement, I started work on this film"

Various reports suggested that since his film with Parineeti Chopra, 'Jabariya Jodi' tanked at the box office, Malhotra has been pondering over a sabbatical to see, what kind of films he wanted to do. 

Marjaavaan: 

Marjaavaan is written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri under the banner of T-Series Production along with Emmay Entertainment. The director and producer trio were last seen in 2018, for the film Satyamev Jayate. The action-drama was loved by the audience and was a box office hit. The fans appreciated the dialogues from Satyamev Jayate. Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Milap Zaveri had previously worked on Ek Villan.

Pressure is on: 

Sidharth Malhotra's last few outings in the box office, including movies like 'Aiyaari' and 'Jabariya Jodi', have been commercial failures. The below-par performances at the box office means that Sidharth needs a Bollywood hit under his belt after his blockbuster debut.  Many consider that 'Marjaavaan' seems like the perfect promising outing for Malhotra to make his comeback to the A-List of Bollywood.
